In the Trenches

In typical New England style, autumn has been far too short, and winter has come far too early. I am already avoiding patches of black ice on the sidewalks, and it isn't even Thanksgiving yet.

Now that I've moved to Boston, it seems that I do much more walking than I have ever done, even than when I was living on a college campus. My "pretty" coat is not thick enough or suitable for the cold, and my "practical" coat makes me look like a jolly, round marshmallow. Not to mention it's not in the best shape, since it is probably about seven years old. I'm thinking I need a warm, thick trench coat.

Here are some lovely trench coats that serve multiple functions as practical AND pretty.

  2. Oh my, these are amazing! The very first one with a bow is my absolute favorite.

I don't if you've watched Once Upon A Time but Ginnifer Goodwin (as a teacher) always wore the cutest coats. Well, during the first season at least...I quit watching after that. :)

  5. Great selection, I love the ones in the 3rd column! You should also try a parka for the cold weather, mine has taken me through a few Wisconsin winters.
