If I had a million dollars... [3]

Sorry for the lack of posts last week, I was in New Zealand. Now that I am back, expect lots of NZ posts! But first, a late "If I had a million dollars" post (coming from the airport in Washington D.C.).

V-Neck Vertical Stripe Cardigan @ OASAP
I am so infatuated with this sweater. Everything from the color, the pattern, and the fit is just perfect.

Scallop Hem Play Shorts @ ShopAkira
Scallop hems are a favorite of mine. I like these shorts because they would look great both
with and without tights.

Turquoise and Hematite Necklace @ SeptemberWillow
This necklace is truly gorgeous. If you haven't noticed, I love geometric designs.

Black Studded Cuff Shirt @ Dorothy Perkins
I've been looking around everywhere for a sheer blouse that I love, and with the studded cuffs,
this might be the one!

  1. This bra from ASOS is so cute that I would wear it as a top! (Is that kosher?)
  2. I love how these lace cut-out leggings from boohoo are both sexy and fun.
  3. Butterflies have always been a favorite of mine. I like this floral butterfly scarf from Oasis because it has butterflies on it (duh!) and because it will be a great transition piece from summer to fall.
  4. This gold geometric plate belt from Zara is both functional and fun.

Yesterday in Boston

Just enjoying a book and carrot-apple-celery juice while waiting for my passport appointment in Boston.

Calliope Summer 2012

In honor of my upcoming trip to New Zealand (I leave tomorrow!), I figured I would share the Summer 2012 collection from New Zealand designer Calliope. (Summer starts in December there, so I'm sharing their upcoming, just released collection.)
Hope you enjoy!

Inspiration: New Zealand

This is absolutely crazy and wild of me, but just today I booked a flight to New Zealand for this Saturday (...granted I can get my passport tomorrow)!!! My best friend is studying abroad there so I'm going to be staying there for about 2 weeks visiting her and her flatmates. I will hopefully have plenty of pictures to share when I get back (I'm still learning to bring my camera everywhere I go). I'm so so soooo excited to go! Here are some styles I put together to suit the fact that it is Winter in New Zealand (but still about 60F) and based on some things I would like to do while I'm there!

Refugee

Somewhere, somehow,
Somebody must have kicked you around some.
Who knows why you wanna lay there and revel in your abandon.

If I had a million dollars... [2]

Geo Print Sweater Dress @ Flying Tomato
I really love the bright geometric print of this dress. The fact that it's a sweater dress makes it
a perfect transition piece into fall.

Multi Coloured Tie Dye Leggings @ Topshop
These tie-dye leggings are so much fun. I would imagine that they could be difficult to pull off,
but I would love to try!

Stepping Zebra Tunic @ Miss Selfridge
It may still be too warm out for sweaters, but I am so in love with this zebra sweater that
I would wear it in the 90F heat anyway!

Weekend Shopper Totebag @ Urbanog
This bag would be perfect for carrying books around campus. It has a classic look,
but the pop of green adds a fun element to it.

and some more..........
  1. I am in love with this Insect Study Journal from Anthropologie.
  2. This top from Modcloth is so cute. It's very Spring/Summer, but I would have no problem wearing it into the early fall.
  3. These hair pins from Shabby Apple are very pretty and romantic.
  4. I love how these earrings, from Bijoux NYC, paired two of my favorite things: geometric design and turquoise.

Gymnasties

I have always been a huge fan of gymnastics, ever since I was a little girl. Being a dancer, I am usually a tad overly-critical of the athletes' turned out feet and non-pointed toes, but I can certainly appreciate the difficulty of the routines and the amount of effort these gymnasts put in towards their work.
Instead of spoiling the results of the gymnastics events of the Olympics (I have been watching all the events live), I figured I would share some pictures of the sheer athleticism and skill that the athletes (the women in particular) have.
